Attempt at a digital drawing, took about 4h. It's a completely different feeling to pixel art and much faster, although I don't have any clue of digital painting technique

Very nice, being able to draw with one program/medium usually leads to being able to draw with other media.

In my opinion drawing starts and ends in the head. The medium gives you the limitations which effects you can use and the way how you achieve those those effects. Perfect executed effects needs only the right technique. But technique hasn't much to do with ideas or inspiration. The most basic techniques are always the same, it doesn't matter if you make pixel mosaics or you paint with traditional colors on a canvas
